Dr. Daniel Chitu, a native of Romania and now a proud citizen of the United States, is the owner of Burnsville Veterinary Clinic and has cared for pets as a general practitioner since 1992.
Interested in medicine at a young age, Dr. Daniel initially wanted to pursue a career in human medicine. As a freshman in college, however, he discovered his love for pets and became interested in veterinary medicine. He finds every day to be challenging and rewarding and receives great satisfaction in seeing patients grow healthy and happy.
Dr. Daniel received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Bucharest University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 1999 he passed his Boards Exams and has been awarded with a DVM degree for North America.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Medical Association of Pennsylvania, and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. His professional interests include internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Daniel and his wife, Dr. Melissa Chitu, are the parents of two children. They share their home with a dog named Toby. His hobbies include travel, soccer and tennis. |
